A new operation was conducted against the CHP-affiliated Nilüfer Municipality as part of a bribery, organization formation, and money laundering investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Former municipal council members Ş.O. and A.Ç., along with former CHP Nilüfer District Chairman F.Y., were taken into custody. The suspects’ assets were seized.
In the first operation on October 10, 15 people, including former Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem, were arrested. As part of the investigation, a trustee was appointed to one company through the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), and some suspects’ bank and crypto accounts were frozen.
