Journalist Nedim Oruç was beaten by police and detained while covering news in Şırnak. Oruç’s detention period was extended. His lawyers stated that the journalist was targeted and beaten because of his professional activities. It was reported that Oruç’s health condition is being monitored and that a confidentiality order has been issued for the case file.
