In operations targeting those protesting attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria in Adana, Mardin, and Şırnak, 8 people were arrested in the last three days. In Adana, Barış İlter was arrested from among 15 people detained in house raids on January 15, while the others were released under judicial control. In Mardin, Baran Ari was arrested on charges of “membership in an organization” out of the eight people detained. In Şırnak’s Silopi, Cizre, and İdil districts, M.B. and M.S.M. were arrested on charges of “concealing identity” out of the four people detained. The number of people arrested in Şırnak over the past three days has risen to eight.
