According to the April report by the Mesopotamia Women Journalists Association, at least 34 journalists were put on trial, investigations were launched against 2 journalists, and 2 journalists were sentenced to a total of 7 years and 6 months in prison. The report also noted that access to 16 digital platforms was blocked and at least 3 digital media accounts were shut down. The MKG emphasized that journalism is being targeted through judicial and digital censorship.
