Tolga Akış, manager of the group Manifest, was arrested on a charge of “disseminating obscenity” after being detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation into Akış also included suspicions of “drug use” and “laundering assets derived from crime.” In his statement to the prosecutor, Akış said the group’s dance moves were not performed under his direction and that he bore no responsibility for them. Manifest members had previously been tried over their clothing and dances at a 2025 concert at Küçükçiftlik Park and had each been sentenced to three months and 22 days in prison.
