Fidan Atalay, known on social media as “Fidan Hoca,” was detained in İzmir as part of an investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor’s office considered the posts, videos and photographs on Atalay’s Instagram account to constitute the offense of “obscenity.” She was also investigated on a charge of “laundering assets derived from crime” over the allegation that she earned income from the content.
