Manifest band’s Turkey tour has been canceled. In a statement on their social media accounts, the band said, “Our sold out tour in Turkey has been canceled weeks ago. We would like to thank our audience for their interest and love.”
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office had launched an investigation into the band’s concert on September 6 on charges of “indecent acts” and “exhibitionism”. The band members were released by the court on September 9 with a ban on leaving the country and a signature requirement.
In a statement following the court ruling, Manifest emphasized that they take responsibility for their stage shows, but that they have no intention of offending anyone or ignoring sensitivities.
