Journalist Levent Gültekin was detained on December 19 for statements he made on his YouTube channel and was later released on judicial supervision. The prosecutor’s office referred Gültekin to the Criminal Court of Peace on charges of “publicly disseminating misleading information.” The court decided to release Gültekin on judicial supervision. Gültekin reacted to the decision, stating that his statement had not even been taken upon his release.
