An indictment was prepared against lawyer Rezan Epözdemir on charges of “mediating bribery” with a prison sentence of up to 12 years.
In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was alleged that Epözdemir acted as an intermediary for bribery in exchange for release decisions in an investigation conducted in Bakırköy.
The indictment includes WhatsApp records, bond documents and MASAK reports on the exchange of money between prosecutor C.Ç. and Epözdemir.
Epözdemir denied the accusations and said, “I have lent money to C.Ç. before.”
