Cumhuriyet columnist Barış Terkoğlu’s article titled “Did someone say rule of law?” was blocked from access.
The article criticized the unlawful dismissals at the Ministry of National Education and the appointment of the wife of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor.
Pursuant to Article 8/A of Law No. 5651, access was banned on the grounds of “national security” and “protection of public order”.
Freedom of Expression Association said the decision amounted to censorship.
