The prosecution of the lawsuit has started against villagers due to “damaging property” and “preventing duty” after they protested the drilling work by a mining company in Üçpınar Neighborhood of Ünye District in Ordu. Lawyer Nur Hilal Gündüz indicated that the villagers are charged with additional charges like violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations and conducting illegal organisation activity, stating that they have submitted a defense on the matter. The next hearing was scheduled for July 5.
