A lawsuit was filed against 24 women at Izmir 7th Criminal Court of First Instance due to the demonstration organized in Alsancak district of Izmir on December 15, 2019 within the “Las Tesis” demonstrations spread around the world from Chile, to protest violence against women. The women are charged with violating Article 301 of the Turkish Criminal Code and the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911.
