The Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed a lawsuit against Talat Yalaz, the CHP Provincial Chair of Eskişehir, over statements he made in 2024 opposing a bill on street animals. The prosecution alleges that Yalaz committed the crime of “publicly inciting the public to disobey the law” and is seeking a prison sentence of six months to two years. The case will be heard in the Criminal Court of First Instance.
