A lawsuit was filed against Justice and Development Party (AKP) Bolu Municipal Assembly member Tahsin akduman due to ‘insulting Atatürk’ through a social media post. Akduman was charged due to writing on the social media, “The 100-year tutelage past established by British colonists has officially ended now. Today is the start of a new period. The century of our nation begins now. Let it be for the good of all, for both our country and the world,” referring to the new Presidential system. The indictment, accepted by Bolu 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance, claims an imprisonment sentence against Akduman from 1 year up to 3 years.
