It was recently revealed that Yapı Kredi Publishing has censored the word “Kurdistan” in the literary travelogue, “Seyahatname” of Evliyâ Çelebi, written in the 17th century. Prof. Dr. Robert Dankoff, Seyit Ali Kahraman and Yücel Dağlı have prepared the work for Yapı Kredi Publishing with its first edition published in 2006. The word “Kurdistan,” taking place in the original text, was censored four times and replaced with the word, “Kurd land.”
