Ahmet Tabu, a resident of Diyarbakır who has filed for asylum in Switzerland, was detained by police on May 29 at the immigration office in the city of Frauenfeld. Tabu had gone to the office to extend the validity of his immigration ID. His family stated that they had not heard from Tabu since his detention and warned that he could be detained or arrested if he were deported to Turkey.
