The Atatürkist Thought Association (ADD) filed a criminal complaint against AK Party MKYK member Mücahit Birinci with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on charges of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility”.
Birinci’s social media post, “Someone is threatening to take stray dogs off the streets,” drew public reaction. ADD stated that the post was “beyond reason, reason and decency” and applied for a public lawsuit.
