Journalist Rahime Karvar Worn Electronic Handcuffs

Journalist Rahime Karvar, who was arrested on January 17 due to “being a member of an illegal organization” and released with a “ban on leaving the country” in the first hearing, was subjected to additional judicial control measures due to her failure to attend the second hearing. Istanbul 24th High Criminal Court ordered Karvar to wear electronic handcuffs, to be banned from leaving the province and to sign a petition twice a month.
