The Democratic Alevi Federation (FEDA) and the Democratic Alevi Women’s Union (DAKB) reacted to the state intervention against the Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli Commemoration Events and declared that they will stand against the attempts to assimilate and control Alevism. In the statement, it was stated that Alevism is a peaceful and egalitarian social stance and that these interventions, which are seen as part of the project to create a “State’s Alevi”, will not be allowed. All Alevi people and institutions were called for a common stance.
