The third hearing of the case regarding the fire in Kartalkaya in which 78 people lost their lives is being held. Journalist Osman Çaklı, who followed the hearings for the previous two days, was not allowed into the courtroom this morning. The reason given was an “internal instruction”.
Journalist Çaklı described the situation as “no one being allowed in even as a spectator in a case open to the public”. Relatives of the disappeared were only allowed in if they could prove that they were family members with their surnames.
