Journalist Murat Kemaneci was detained on March 26, 2026, in the Kemer district of Antalya. Kemaneci was detained on charges of “violating the privacy of private life” for a news report in which he wrote that Mayor Necati Topaloğlu had met with a prosecutor at a hotel. Following his interrogation, the court ordered Kemaneci’s detention.
