The Istanbul 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance postponed the trial of journalist Zafer Arapkirli, scheduled for March 27, 2026, because the judge was on leave. The court rescheduled the hearing for April 14, 2026. The prosecution requested that Arapkirli be punished for the crimes of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility” and “spreading misleading information” due to his social media posts.
