CHP Deputy Chair Murat Bakan submitted a parliamentary question to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) with the demand that Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya respond to the murder of journalist and ecologist Hakan Tosun.
The Minister asked for the details of the investigation into Tosun’s death, possible threat applications and whether the incident was seen as a judicial case.
The parliamentary question drew attention to the late notification of hospital records to Tosun’s family and questioned the deficiencies in public security.
Tosun was beaten in Esenyurt on October 10 and died in hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
