Journalist Furkan Karabay was ordered to continue his detention.
Karabay is on trial on charges of “insulting the President”, “targeting people who took part in the fight against terrorism” and “insulting a public official for his duty”, with a prison sentence of 6 to 15 years, based on a video he made on social media and his posts.
The court ruled that Karabay’s detention, which has been in pre-trial detention for 152 days, was “proportionate” and that judicial control would not be sufficient.
