The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against Mezopotamya Agency reporter Berivan Kutlu due to “making propaganda for an illegal organization” was held on October 16 at Diyarbakır Heavy Penal Court No 4. Kutlu denied the charges against her and demanded her acquittal. His lawyer Resul Tamur stated that Kutlu’s posts were screenshots, not videos, and that the police had submitted false evidence to the file. The court ordered the police to send the video analysis within 10 days and sent the file to the prosecutor for a final opinion. The hearing was postponed to January 29, 2026.
