JINNEWS reporter Şehriban Aslan was threatened three months after she reported on a child abduction in Şırnak. Aslan filed a criminal complaint against Zülfi Şakar. Mezopotamya Agency reporter Zeynep Durgut was investigated on charges of “spreading misleading information to the public” upon the complaint of Kenan and Nihat Tatar for her report on a “prostitution gang”. In his statement, Durgut said that his news report was based on the indictment and that he was threatened.
