Istanbul Governor’s Office launched an investigation into the use of raki glasses with abusive expressions in a Kuzguncuk venue. Governor Davut Gül stated that the expressions in question were degrading towards women and announced that an audit had been initiated.
The Istanbul Branch of the Union of Civil Servants announced that the glasses did not belong to their social facilities, that they were brought from outside by customers and that the photos were shared on personal accounts. The Union stated that the incident took place without their knowledge and that they will take legal action against misleading content.
