Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an ex officio investigation against the band Manifest, who gave a concert at KüçükÇiftlik Park, on charges of “lewd behavior” and “exhibitionism”.
Manifest, known as Turkey’s new girl group, has been targeted on social media in recent days. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that the dance and stage performances at the band’s concert were being investigated on the grounds that they “violated society’s sense of decency and decency”.
The band’s concert in Erzurum was also canceled due to their stage attire. In addition, Presidential Advisor Oktay Saral targeted Manifest in a post on his social media account and used harsh expressions.
