Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against Leman magazine for “publicly insulting religious values”. Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç and Communications Director Fahrettin Altun targeted the humor magazine in social media statements. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a detention warrant for 4 people. In the evening hours of the same day, people gathered with the call of a group with an IBDA-C extension attacked Leman’s office in Istanbul. Windows and doors were broken and the group was dispersed by police intervention.
