Investigations have been launched in numerous cities against students who participated in the rally held in Saraçhane. According to a statement by Kocaeli Emek Gençliği, students remaining in various provinces, primarily Kocaeli and Eskişehir, were contacted by KYK dormitory administrations and summoned to provide statements. The statement noted that some students’ families were also contacted and that the process was intended to intimidate them. Emek Youth stated that no precautionary measures had yet been taken against the detained students, but that the right to housing had nevertheless been turned into a means of pressure. The student organization demanded that the investigations be dropped.
