H.K., who wears a headscarf, and A.S., a drag queen, who were detained within the scope of the investigation launched after the dance footage taken in a night club in Izmir went viral on social media, were referred to the courthouse. The headscarved H.K. was arrested on charges of “public incitement to hatred and hostility” and “obscenity”. Zenne A.S. was released under judicial control with a travel ban and signature condition. The prosecutor’s office claimed that the dance in the footage “insulted religious values”.
