An investigation has been launched into Mezopotamya Agency reporter Zeynep Durgut for reporting allegations that trees were cut down for the construction of a police station in the Êzidî village of Kiwex, in the İdil district of Şırnak. Following a complaint by the HÜDA-PAR Midyat district administration, Durgut went to the April 2 Police Station in Wan’s İpekyolu district to give a statement as part of the investigation. Durgut stated that the news report was hers and that she was carrying out journalistic activities.
