The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into journalist Ercan Küçük over a news story titled “NATO youth in the making” published in soL. Following a complaint by the Turkish Atlantic Council and its president Mustafa Veysel Güldoğan, the prosecutor’s office summoned Küçük for questioning and confiscated his cell phone and SIM card as part of the investigation. In his statement, Küçük said that the news article was part of his journalistic activity and that the information was based on open sources.
