An investigation was launched against Veli Saçılık, one of the symbolic figures of the protests against the Statutory Decrees, due to his social media posts. Saçılık is accused of “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” for his post, “Alevism is the way of forties, not races – we are the garden, we have the rose… We have the seventy-two languages” and for announcing that the daughter of poet Gülten Akın was dismissed from public service with a Statutory Decree.
