Students who protested the allegations of verbal harassment of female students by Adem Soylamış, an expert physicist at Istanbul University Physics Department, were subjected to disciplinary proceedings. The students exposed Soylamış’s name and poured purple paint on the door of his office. The university administration called on the students to be investigated under Law No. 2547 for these actions. Student Collectives and University Feminist Collective accused the university administration of protecting the harasser.
