An investigation was launched against JİNNEWS News Director Öznur Değer on charges of “publicly disseminating misleading information” due to her news report on the suspicious death of Rojin Kabaiş. Değer went to Kızıltepe Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office with her lawyers and gave her statement. The prosecutor’s office investigated a news article Değer shared on his X account about a security officer named in the allegations. In his statement, Değer emphasized that he was a journalist and asked for the confidentiality order in the Kabaiş file to be lifted.
