IHD Dersim Branch made a press statement near Dersim-Ovacık road due to the increasing number of checkpoints in the city. Branch Co-Chair Nurşat Yeşil stated that there are continuous inspections at the entrances and exits of the city, neighborhoods and village roads. Yeşil said these practices violate the right to privacy and freedom of movement. Stating that the security points create a feeling of oppression and surveillance in the public, Yeşil demanded an end to arbitrary interventions.
