An investigation was launched against the youth festival organized by the Left Party Youth organization in Zeytinli, Balıkesir.
In the investigation launched upon a criminal complaint by the AKP Balıkesir Provincial Presidency, it was claimed that some of the slogans shouted during the march before the festival constituted criminal elements within the scope of “insulting the President”.
It was also claimed that banners and slogans not specified in the petition for the festival were used, and that the event went on late into the night outside the specified hours.
As part of the investigation, proceedings were initiated against 8 people. Thousands of young people participated in the festival with the slogan “We have a say for nature, life and homeland”.
