The indictment prepared in the cooperative phase of the corruption investigation against Izmir Metropolitan Municipality was accepted by Izmir 23rd High Criminal Court. In the indictment, 65 people, including former Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, demanded prison sentences from 3 to 45 years. The investigation alleged irregularities in construction projects in return for flats in Örnekköy, Gaziemir-Aktepe/Emrez and Karabağlar regions. In the indictment prepared against 65 suspects, 11 of whom are arrested, 449 victims, 7 complainants, as well as the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Ministry of Interior, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and İZBETON AŞ were included as victims of the crime.
