Journalist İshak Karakaş, who was on trial due to his social media posts criticizing the Afrin Operation, was sentenced to 1 year, 6 months and 22 days of imprisonment due to “making illegal organization propaganda.” Istanbul 28th Assize Court deferred the announcement of the verdict.
Nine more people, who were on trial together with Karataş, were sentenced to imprisonment varying from 1 year and 3 months up to 1 year, 6 months and 22 days. Announcements of all verdicts were deferred.
