16 people were sentenced to imprisonment varying from 1 year to 1 year and 8 months due to ‘violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911’ after protesting Social Fabric Foundation Chairman Nurettin Yıldız, who attracted reactions after his statements legitimizing abuse and pedophilia. Sinop 1st Criminal Court of First Instance decided for the deferral of the sentence against 12 defendants; 13 were acquitted.
