Nusret Yılmaz, the lawyer of IBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his wife Dilek İmamoğlu, was detained in Trabzon within the scope of the “corruption” investigation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB). Yılmaz was reportedly detained on charges of “mediating bribery” and is expected to be referred to Istanbul Courthouse. Previously, Mehmet Pehlivan, another lawyer of the İmamoğlu family, was arrested on June 18 and sent to prison on charges of “illegal organization membership”.
