Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Uysal at Konya Meram State Hospital did not examine a woman who came for an eye examination, calling her an “exhibitionist”. The young woman burst into tears in the face of the reactions. After the footage went viral, the Ministry of Health launched an investigation against Uysal. It was revealed that Uysal, who had previously come to the agenda with his statements defending child marriages, had also made reactionary posts about animals. Turkish Medical Association reacted by saying “Discriminatory attitudes are a clear violation of the ethical values of medicine”.
