Ibrahim Özkan, advisor to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, was brought to the Istanbul Courthouse by police and questioned. Özkan’s lawyer, Muhammed Mesut Yıldız, stated, “There is no arrest warrant for my client; he was only brought in for questioning.” In July, as part of the same investigation, a total of six official drivers, including Bayram Yıldırım, the driver of İmamoğlu’s former advisor Ertan Yıldız, were arrested. Özkan was appointed as İmamoğlu’s political advisor in November 2024.
