Human Rights Association (IHD) launched a special report on “Interrogation, Interview, Agencification and Kidnapping Through Oppression and Threat.” IHD Co-Chair Öztürk Türkdoğan stated that university students, journalists and activists are forced to testify off-record in many provinces; that they are tried to be agencified through pressure and threat and some of them are threatened using their family connections.
Türkdoğan indicated that 67 people have applied to IHD within the last 10 months, complaining about this issue. “Committing the act of depriving one of his/her freedom systematically through a plan against a certain part of society with political, philosophical, racist or religious purposes will constitute a ‘crime against humanity’,” Türkdoğan said.
