Former HDP MP Hüda Kaya was acquitted of all charges in the Second Kobani Case. Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court ruled that the charge of “making propaganda for an illegal organization” in one of the merged cases was within the scope of legislative irresponsibility and ruled that there was no need to impose a penalty. Kaya attended the hearing via SEGBİS from Çanakkale. The case was filed in 2014 over Kobani protests. Kaya was detained at Istanbul Airport in November 2023 and was held in pre-trial detention for a while.
