The Turkish Delegation of the Global Sumud Flotilla announced that 48 Turkish activists were illegally detained in Israel’s attack on the flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. The delegation also shared their names and the ships they were on. Most of the activists were taken to the Port of Ashdod. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that they are closely monitoring the situation of the citizens and that consular protection has been provided. Marinette was the only ship left in the fleet. “We want to reach the Gaza coast as a hope, we will not turn back,” said Sinan Akılotu, an activist on board. However, it was reported that the connection with some boats was cut and the fate of the vessels was unknown.
