Former Mayor of Kemer district in Antalya, Mustafa Gül, was arrested on October 29 as part of an investigation into allegations that he demanded $9,500 from a businessman to pay an expert witness during a court case. The serial-numbered money was seized at Gül’s home. Gül was sent to prison on charges of “influence peddling” and “fraud.”
