The Ankara 6th Administrative Court dismissed the lawsuit filed by journalist Fatih Altaylı against the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) for imposing a licensing requirement on YouTube broadcasts, on the grounds that it “does not constitute an administrative act on its own.” It was noted that the lawsuit filed by MLSA against RTÜK’s 2019 regulation bringing internet broadcasts under its oversight has been pending before the Council of State for six years.
