The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office summoned Ekrem İmamoğlu’s father, Hasan İmamoğlu, and son, Selim İmamoğlu, to testify as part of an investigation into Ekrem İmamoğlu. The prosecutor’s office announced that both individuals face charges of “bribery and laundering of criminal proceeds.” It was announced that Hasan and Selim İmamoğlu will give statements at the police station tomorrow and that they have been banned from leaving the country. Ekrem İmamoğlu was arrested on March 23 on allegations of “corruption” and sent to Silivri Prison. The CHP camp considers the investigation a “political revenge operation.”
